Can you name any good surface fishing baits for carp etc?
Try worms. Worms usually work on just about any fish. I looove fishing! I’m going tonight. Good luck to you!
Whats the best bait/or easiest way to make carp bait?
I’m 13 and my friend KC is 13. Were going fishing tomorrow, hes spending the night. We wanna catch carp at like the moring time.
What’s the best and easiest bait.
We only have a Kidney Drugs by, but we do have some stuff at my house.
Any Ideas? and I’m going fishing in Seneca River.
Easy but effective baits:
Peanut butter sandwich: Take pieces of peanut butter sandwich and roll into small dough balls. Just make sure you use sweet peanut butter instead of salty ones.
Sugar cookie dough. You could use it as is.
Mix water and corn meal (about the consistency of mud). Heat mix in microwave until steam bubbles appears. Let mix stand and cool. The hardness of the dough will change after it cooled. The finished product should be soft to the touch but firm enough to handle like dough. If it is too wet, heat in microwave some more to evaporate the water. Or, you could simply mix in flour to make it harder. If it is too dry, crush it as finely as you could. Mix the crushed dough with flour and lake/pond water until you got the right consistency. The dough balls should have a firmness that felt like uncooked cookie dough.
Note: Add flour to hot mix will create a very sticky dough. You have to wait until the mix cooled down before you add any flour.
PS: If you like to add scent, you could add melted marshmallows into your dough. Marshmallows are made with corn syrup + vanilla flavoring. Don’t over use marshmallows or your dough will become very sticky.
If I was fishing for catfish or carp, what is the best bait to use??
I heard hotdogs, is that true???
hey man, yea hot dogs work at times but it is slow. i only know about the catfish but i will give you what i know bout the ol kitty kitty fish. what i have found and use canstantly when fishing for the catfish is regular chicken livers. get you a tub of them and keep them cold. when you go out fishing take along a small cooler filled with ice and keep that tub in the ice. keeping them cold makes them stay stiff and allows them to stay on your hook better. it is best to use a trebble hook when fishing with livers. take out a liver and with a sharp knife quater the livers. most of the time livers are really big and you dont need all of it. put a piece of the liver on one of the hooks on the trebble hook and wrap the liver around the hook and press down on the liver to get the other two hooks into the liver. the way that i like to rig this up is to get a one ounce to 3 ounce weight all depending on how much the water is moving. tie the weight on the bottom of your line and about a foot above the weight tie a loop into your line. now from that loop tie on another peice of line from that loop about a foot long and tie the trebble hook onto the line. what this does is allow the weight anchor your line down to the floor of the pond or river or what ever you are fishing and lets the bait stay above the floor and not sink down into the mud. and it lets it float around a bit. man i hope this helps you out a bit good luck good fishin be safe and remember to share the experience
what baits should i use for summer carp fishing?
im looking for a summer baitr to catch big carp can any of you tell me a good bait ?
you can catch carp on most baits in summer boilies, pop ups, meat, corn, tiger nuts, particle baits, dog mixer, floating crust etc etc etc. try to find a bait you feel confident in and you will reap the benifits. i use mainline freezer boilies: assasin8 ,active8 and the grange red, i also rate the whole of the dynamite baits range, try floating bread or mixers on sunny days when carp are cruising i also use marshmallows and malteasers on the top( just dont get the munchies and eat them lol) there is no holy grail of bait just good and bad ones! bait is not the winning factor in big carp fishing but locating them is, carp have regular feeding routes they will take so dont just turn up and plonk yourself in a swim that looks good on the surface, take time to look for fish, look in weed beds for channels, rolling fish cleaning their gills out use a marker rod with just a lead on to find gravel bars and silt beds full or bloodworm if u need any help on rigs and tackle jusk ask, hope this helps good luck and tight lines.

What fishing bait should i use in the allegheny river?
Other than worms, magets, etc. what bait should i use? the fish in the allegheny are catfish, carp, walleye, muskee, Well wat should i use?
Catfish – Fish on the bottom with baits like : worms, minnows, liver, stink baits, or dough baits.
Carp – Also fish on the bottom with baits like : worms, corn, bread, and dough bait.
Walleye – Fish for these eye’s with : worms, or minnows.
Muskie – Live suckers are the best bait for HUGE muskies.
May i recommend that you use at least a MH action rod for these fish, and a baitcasting reel filled with 25 lb. Power Pro or Berkley Big Game.
Happy fishing.
when i was fishing for carp i threw the bait right in front of the carp and it swam away fast?
through a worm out in front of ofhit and let the worm do its work. he will smell it and then the fight is on.
Carp Fishing?
i went carp fishing in the end of july.
i snook into this one shallow canal where i always see carp.
its kinda shallow
i anchored the boat and started baiting the area with bread and corn. there are alot of ducks in this area so i guess the people in the houses feed the ducks so thats why there are carp there. but everytime i go over there it seems like the carp are never there. anyways….. after i baited the area… i waited……………. and waited ………… untill 2 and a half hours later i finally hooked one up. it was a 12 lbs lunker.
i was just wondering is their anywhere else i can look for carp
and is there a way to catch them with less waiting??????
please help!!!!!
you are probably scaring the carp with your boat. try fishing from shore. about 8 ft deep water is perfect. and fish with canned corn. rinse the corn a few time and put it in a jar. fill with water to just over the amount of con and add 1 teaspoon of anise or vannila flavoring. fish with a running rig. and have your drag low or reel on free spool.
Is it still okay to go fishing for carp?
Really, the pike and Salmon season is up. I still like to catch carp have a lot of corn meal left and some other ingredients to make the carp bait. I live in New York, Central. Is it okay to still gO?
Specially have something for Thanksgiving?
Sounds like you’re asking if the carp will be biting…you’ll never know if you don’t go. You’ll have to do some searching because of all the cool weather about but that’s what separates those who fish with those who catch…experience. ~good luck catchin’.
P.S.
The additional detail part, I can see that, A little side dish made with traditional carp recipes from yesteryear sounds good. If nothing, I’m sure you find something in one of the many markets your way. ; )
