5th Annual Carp Fishing Holiday 07 Manicure Lake Day 10 Pt1
The last day of my annual fishing holiday (part 1) and it is the hottest so far, add to that crowds of day ticket anglers making loads of noise then you know the fishing is going to be hard. A thick head from over exposure to alcohol the night before ensures a very late start. Mr Martin has been fishing since 7 am and has already lost a good fish. Bacon sarnies and the hair that bit the dog is the order of the day.

I dont mind hot summers though, because i pick my venues carefully. In blistering hot conditions i go to suffolk water park which is pukka for catching off the top on dog biscuits

Further to this you might like to know that i was not the only one unable to get them off the top or even get them to take a surface bait.
Its been a very hot summer so far (BOOOO) and you cant get a take easy so the floaters have been out!
As with many lakes they were hammered on floaters when they first went in as stockies and now they will not touch em, not even the freebies.
Have had the doggies out over Abbey lake though (still cant catch em!)

And a lad had a 20.4lb today on my Goldfish out of the very same lake!

I caught 10 …
I caught 10 twenties to 28lb and 4 doubles to just under 19lb, a pike and loads of tench.
20 other anglers (life-members, day ticketers) caught a couple between them all week….
As I have said to you before
… it is not a viable way to fish for Big carp and catch consistently.
Big carp get all there food off the bottom so thats where i put my bait.
If i can get a fish off the top i will always try.

Ive watched all 121 vidios that you have .. yes it took time but they are the best on youtube. Ihad the same result as you where buy i caught a tench instead of a carp but that tench was 7 lb 12 oz so that was lucky . keep the vids comeing because i enjoy them and so do many other people.
