whats the best fishing bait for carp or catfish?

thanks

for carp use pillsbury (uncooked) dough-boy dough
for catfish use the worst case of stink you can have in the back of the truck with you. stink cheese, blood, liver, gizzards, mackerel combinations of any or many and I like KFC skin damned if it don’t work and the chicken I eat. I like it for a couple of reasons the two most important are it catches fish and two it don’t stink up the place.

If you’re in the uk I would suggest for Carp boilies , luncheon meat ,bread ,sweetcorn or large Halibut pellets….As for Catfish large Halibut pellets, big lumps of Luncheon meat ( 2 to 4 baits from a tin ) a bunch of lob worms (maybe 6 or 8 ) live or dead bait or Squid , Cat’s aren’t that fussy , location is the key.

Catfish- Chicken liver. Wrap it in a small piece of pantyhose to help keep it on the hook.

Carp- The best bait is their natural preference, crayfish. A soft craw is just killer on carp. Other baits such as dough, crawlers, etc will work too.
