okay carp bait for united states fishing?
whats a good recipe for carp bait? im fishing for big mouth bufflo carp. big ones. i wanna try and clean them out of this pond.
Why clean them out of the pond? Don’t kill them unless you are eating them. Put them in a local creek. I love carp. They fight great. But seriously dude don’t kill them unless someone is making you.
My favorite is a dough bait made of peanut butter, cinnamon, maple syrup, and bread. Steal the recipe if you want.
Happy fishing.

Dough ball is about as good as it gets, and night crawlers next.
Dough ball,
equal parts of flour and corn meal ( like the white corn meal)
start with about 1/2 cup of each
Mix in about 1-1/2 table spoons molasses, and enough water to make dough
Wrap in cheesecloth or old sock, and place in boiling water for about twenty minutes.
Keep wrapped in plastic wrap to keep from drying out when not in use.
Place a small ball, (1/2") or so on a number 6 hook and fish on bottom.

I would recommend using corn, sweetened with a bit of vanilla. If you do not have this, try a good sized worm or even a bread ball. Carp can be tough to catch, so make sure you have all the right tackle too.
If you do use bread, do not use the crust, and use a treble hook.
Good luck.
